Bekker Pagariari
Kopli 27
For me, Kopli is a fascinating neighborhood, characterized by long avenues with large Soviet-style buildings.
Here and there begin to blossom a few restaurants and small venues.
They are still few and it is easy to notice them, above all because they are very beautiful.
It must be said that here in Tallinn the new premises have fantastic interior furnishings and Bekker Pagariäri is not far behind.
So, arrived in Kopli by tram (No. 1 or 2), I found this place before going down and I could not resist the temptation to approach and then enter.
The local specialty seems to be pies, stuffed with carrot, white cabbage, lamb, ham and cheese. The cost about 1.20 eurosper piece.
The pastry is very thin and the filling is abundant. They use organic raw materials of excellent quality and locally sourced.
In addition to pies, the provide fresh bread, both black and white and also baguettes.
In the fridge, there are lined up a dozen cakes of various flavors (pavlova, cheese cake, chocolate cakes, lemon cake ..). Go for the mini portion of cake made with corn flour, flavored with lemon and rosemary (cost 2.50 euro).
Open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
The bakery/café works a lot as take away, but it is also suitable for those who want to stop for a quick lunch break or for a coffee with a friend. Not at all kids friendly, given its small size. Northern European style furniture. The power sockets located next to the tables that allow you to recharge your devices are particularly useful. The music spread in the room and the warm welcome of the staff have helped make my visit super nice.
